The case

What was there, what I decided, what changed.

  1. 01

    Starting point

A traditional inn in the Innviertel, family-run since 1892. Reservations came in mostly by phone, in the middle of service.

  2. 02

    Decision

The reservation button sits in the header and on the first screen; the online reservation shows free times and sends an automatic reminder. The home page shows the daily lunch menu with date and price and the recurring evenings (Dinner for Two, Tuesday for Friends), each with a way straight to a reservation. Vouchers come from a connected voucher shop, to print at home.

  3. 03

    Result

Around 70 per cent of reservations now come in online, with 30 to 50 fewer calls a week and voucher sales up 15 per cent. Figures from the client.

More about the project

The navigation follows what guests look for: the menu with Dinner for Two, Tuesday for Friends, the lunch menu, à la carte and the wine list, then vouchers, news, information including jobs, contact and about us, and on the right the button to reserve a table. The menu changes every month; the lunch menu sits on the home page with its date and price, and a note that it can also be ordered ahead and picked up.

Reservations go through an online tool that shows the available times and the special menus. Guests who would rather call find the number next to the kitchen hours and the annual closing dates. Vouchers are bought in a connected e-guma shop and printed at home.

Further down, the home page shows the awards and press coverage, from Gault&Millau, Falstaff and the Wirtshausführer among others, with links to the reviews, and the team. The site is built with WordPress and Elementor.
