The case

What was there, what I decided, what changed.

  1. 01

    Starting point

A Christmas market in the courtyard and park of Schloss Prugg, in its second year in 2026, over four Advent weekends. The site speaks to two groups: visitors planning a day out, and stallholders who want a pitch.

  2. 02

    Decision

Dates and opening hours run as a band at the very top, and a countdown runs to the opening. The first screen offers two routes: become a stallholder, or plan a visit. Below come the family programme, the castle, directions by train and car, questions and a contact form for visits, pitches and media enquiries.

  3. 03

    Result

    The site is live.

More about the project

The site has two routes for two groups. On the home page, visitors find the dates, the family programme, pictures from the first year, the castle, directions and parking, and frequently asked questions, from dogs and accessibility to payment. Stallholders have their own page: three steps to a pitch, the fees for traders and food stalls, electricity, deposit, set-up and take-down times, plus the information sheet as a PDF and the stallholder terms.

Applications for a pitch go through a Google form; enquiries about visits, pitches and press through a Fluent Forms contact form on the home page. The directions map comes from OpenStreetMap and only loads after a click, with a note on which data is transferred.

Dates and opening hours run as a band above the header on every page, and the link for stallholders sits on the right of the navigation. Everything is built in Etch with Automatic.css.
