Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted on a server of Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany. The server is located in the Falkenstein data centre in Saxony. Hetzner processes the data on my behalf (Art. 28 GDPR, DSGVO).
When you open a page, the server automatically stores technical information in log files:
- your IP address
- the date and time of the request
- the address requested and the status code
- the page you came from
- browser and operating system
I need this information to deliver the site securely and reliably and to detect attacks. The legal basis is my legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The log files are deleted automatically at regular intervals.
I manage the server through the xCloud control panel (xCloud Hosting, LLC, 124 Broadkill Rd #599, Milton, DE 19968, USA). I use it to set the server up, install updates, renew the SSL certificates and create backups. For this, xCloud has technical access to the server. The website and its data stay on the server in Germany.
Enquiries by form and email
If you write to me through a form (project enquiry or agency enquiry), I process what you enter: your name, your email address and your message, and for an agency enquiry also the agency, the service you want, the builder, the timeframe and the budget.
The form plugin Fluent Forms stores the enquiry in this website's database, together with technical information about the submission (time, IP address, browser), and sends it by email to office@p-mayr.com.
I use your information only to reply to you and to prepare a quote. The legal basis is steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and my legitimate interest in answering your message (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The same applies if you email me directly.
I delete the enquiry once it has been dealt with. If it leads to a commission, I keep what belongs to it for as long as the law requires (seven years under § 132 of the Federal Fiscal Code, Bundesabgabenordnung).
My emails are hosted by NameHero, LLC, 690 S Highway 89, Suite 200, Jackson, Wyoming 83002, USA. The mail server is in a data centre in the United Kingdom, which is covered by an adequacy decision of the European Commission (Art. 45 GDPR). Because NameHero is a US company, access from the USA cannot be ruled out. For transfers from the EEA and the United Kingdom, NameHero states that it uses the European Commission's standard contractual clauses (Art. 46 GDPR).

Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to rectification, erasure and restriction of processing, to data portability and to object to processing that is based on my legitimate interest (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR). An email to me is enough.
If you think I am not processing your data correctly, you can lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority: Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde (Austrian Data Protection Authority), Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, dsb@dsb.gv.at, www.dsb.gv.at.
